I've been very slack at keeping up with editing the blog! Seems there are an endless list of tasks on everyone's plates these days! We've been busy and hiking and camping with the dogs, despite a cold, rainy spring. Seems like we are into good weather now, although the rain likes to come back just in time for the weekends!

We have been chosen to be Hurtta Adventurers for the 2025 season. This means we will spend the year capturing photos and videos of amazing Hurtta products and sharing adventure stories. Hurtta is a brand we have loved for a long time and we are excited to be working with them. As a part of this collaboration we are able to offer the discount code MERSEY15H for 15% off on the Hurtta website. This code is an affiliate code, meaning we recieve a small commission. Please note this website does not ship to North America. Canadian and American friends can shop at hurtta247.com but unfortunately the code does not work there.

Late last year I wrote the credentialing exam from the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and am pleased to say I passed and am now an Accredited Dog Trainer. This is something that was important for me to undertake as someone with a large following on social media, I wanted to ensure I am providing accurate and scientifically up to date information. The dog training industry is unregulated, meaning anyone can decide they are a trainer and charge clients, without any understanding of animal behavior or best practices. This results in a lot of out dated and misinformation floating around on the internet (and in person!). I've spent my life and career learning about and caring for animals. From a Bachelor Degree in Animal Science, a Bachelor of Animal Health Technology and maintaining an active license as a Registered Veterinary Technican for almost two decades, this was a logical next step. I am not working full time as a trainer, however do have capcity to take on a limited number of clients. If this is something you'd like to chat about please don't hesitate to reach out.

I am excited to say I was asked to speak at the Perfectly Relaxed Walks Summit hosted by No Hassle Dog Training. This is a free online summit packed full of experts talking all about making the most out of your dog walks. I am humbled to have been asked to participate and chat about Hiking with Dogs. There is still time to sign up and did I mention it's free! This a great opportunity to learn from industry experts!
